Mr. Lane did not waste time jumping into a scary beginning of this book. You know by the tone at the end of chapter one that is going to be nail biter. This is definitely a psychological thriller. He gives so much detail you find yourself wanting to hide around the corner in the house and not face the evil you feel all around you. Mr. Lane has a gift of including you right there beside the main character. I have always felt the best scary stories are the ones with your imagination on full throttle. I suggest you don't read this late at night, if you scare easily. You are going to enjoy this book.

Great read! Super suspenseful and mysterious. Loved the eerie vibe the author creates through the creepy settings. Strikingly vivid descriptions will make you think you are standing right next to the characters. It's like watching a movie in your head. Well written and easy to read. I enjoyed all the FBI and Detective details. You learn a lot about their process along the way. You'll find yourself getting sucked into the story in no time. Great hook and a great twist!
